I can't access my Workday account, how can I log in to begin completing my onboarding tasks?

You will need to access Workday using this link before your start date: https://www.myworkday.com/samsara/login.htmld?redirect=n

Please reach out to [e-mail] if you cannot access Workday or if you haven't received your Workday invite within 30 days of your start date.

When can I expect to receive an agenda or details for my first day?

Please be on the lookout for an email titled "Samsara Flight School: First Day Details!" the Thursday before your start date. This will have important information on laptop shipment info, orientation details, your Day 1 Agenda, and Zoom.

When can I expect to receive my laptop? Do I get to choose my laptop preference?

Our IT team will pull your mailing address within 8 days before your start date to ship your laptop to you. Our IT Team will reach out to confirm your laptop shipment address and will email you with shipping details once everything has been confirmed.

Samsarians are typically given Macbooks by default, unless your team has decided a Windows PC is required for the role.

My shipping address is different that what I’ve listed in Workday. How do I  ensure my laptop and other new hire shipments arrive to the right location?

Please correct this information in Workday as soon as possible. Then, notify your recruiter so they can contact People Ops and IT to help ensure your laptop is shipped to the correct address.

 

How do I update my name in Workday to my preferred name?

As part of your onboarding tasks you will be asked to update your preferred name in Workday.  Your future Samsara email (Samsara standard: [e-mail]) and various other systems are aligned with your preference so it is important this is done in a timely manner prior to your start. If you do not complete this task prior to your start and change it after joining Samsara, this will lead to delays and issues with applications.

 

If your full name is longer than 21 characters, IT will refer to your preferred name to create your Slack profile.
